Every month, Cetaphil® receives mentions in the media from people and professionals, dermatologists and doctors who use or recommend the Cetaphil® line of cleansers and moisturizers. Here are some of the highlights:

June 2008

  • Tai, the beauty guru behind the “Compacts & Vignettes” column on iVillage.com, reveals her love for Cetaphil® Daily Facial Cleanser for Normal to Oily Skin. She admits to “push[ing] this product on any and everyone who asks what cleanser they should use.”
  • Did you know that “if left on your skin overnight, everyday pollution and grime” can do a number on your pores? To help blast daily dirt, Rebekah George, beauty director at Prevention magazine, suggests “sudsing up for 2 minutes before bed.” Cetaphil® Gentle Skin Cleanser is one of the products shown to use.
  • Maintaining moisturized skin is critical to keeping eczema in check, says dermatologist Dr. Jeannie Downey, who was recently featured on The TODAY Show. She recommends moisturizing skin to help keep the symptoms “stress-related” conditions like eczema under control. One of the products shown to use was Cetaphil® DailyAdvanceTM Ultra Hydrating Lotion.
  • Psst! Want in on a celeb beauty secret?   • Think you “have to spend a lot of money to get effective [skin care] products?” Think again, says Tina Johnson, editor-in-chief of Women’s Health magazine. The “longtime user of Cetaphil® Gentle Skin Cleanser,” counts herself as a fan of drugstore finds.
  • If most cleansers leave you “squeaky clean and way too dry,” you need something extra gentle! The know-it-alls at Women’s Health magazine recommend Cetaphil® Gentle Skin Cleanser, a “moisture-packed” product that “slams dirt without stripping [your skin of its] natural protective oils.”
  • If you’re experiencing “ashy patches” of dry skin, you need to hydrate! The experts over at Essence magazine recommend using a “light moisturizer,” like Cetaphil® DailyAdvanceTM Ultra Hydrating Lotion, in the “morning and evening.”

May 2008

  • In the spring 2008 issue of InStyle magazine, dermatologist Dr. Kenneth Beer recommends adapting your skin care routine to summer’s heat and humidity. For dry skin, he suggested using a moisturizer that is petrolatum heavy; “they lock in water and prevent skin from losing moisture,” citing Cetaphil® Moisturizing Lotion as his favorite product.
  • To get a streak-free self-tan, Jamie Ahn of NYC’s Townhouse Spa recommends a 3-step process in the June 2008 issue of Family Circle. Before applying the tanner, she uses a “light glycerin-based lotion.” The one she likes? Cetaphil® Moisturizing Lotion!
  • Rebekah George, Beauty Director at Prevention magazine, recommends fighting facial redness with “a cleanser that’s not going to upset your skin.” She suggests Cetaphil® Gentle Skin Cleanser as “a good option [that] you can wash with morning and night.”
  • Celebrity guest editor at BeautyBlitz.com Leven Ramin of ABC’s “All My Children” praised Cetaphil® DailyAdvanceTM Ultra Hydrating Lotion as a “dream cream.” She also included it among her favorite new beauty products, saying it’s a “great after-shower moisturizer for the entire body.”
  • The blog at iVillage.com was abuzz about Cetaphil® DailyAdvanceTM Ultra Hydrating Lotion! In a segment on lightweight hydrators, DailyAdvanceTM Lotion was declared “as hydrating as any rich and super-luxe cream” and it was also noted that it won’t stain your clothes with “messy residual lotion marks.”

April 2008

  • The beauty army behind the site SheFinds.com knows a thing or two about skin care—they research the best brands out there for a living after all! That’s why they recommend Cetaphil® Gentle Skin Cleanser, a product that’s gained ”popularity“ for its ”unflappable ability to leave your face feeling clean and fresh.“

  • After testing hundreds of products (and spending thousands of dollars) Dina Fierro finally discovered that ”simplicity is key“ when it comes to skin care. She tells The Beauty Ideal   to try a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil® Gentle Skin Cleanser.
  • Don’t want to end up ”smelling like a giant walking strawberry“? Yeah, neither does the beauty team over at Cosmo Girl magazine. That’s why they love Cetaphil® DailyAdvanceTM Ultra Hydrating Lotion—it’s ”fragrance free“ and ”absorbs quickly, leaving you without that greasy feeling.“

March 2008

  • What worked for you as a teen isn't necessarily the best routine for your skin today. In Good Housekeeping, dermatologist Mary Lupo, M.D. advises that the “over-washing [of mature skin] can remove the surface oils that keep it supple.” Lupo recommends that you “cleanse no more than twice a day.” If your skin is “sensitive or extra-dry, alternate with a mild product like Cetaphil® Daily Facial Cleanser.”
