Glycerin

Buy the New Version!
When this was first released, I wanted to try it so bad, but I’m prone to fragrance allergies, and was confused about why this brand would add a fragrance to their skincare when the majority is fragrance free. I am SO thrilled they listened to customers and removed the perfume, I just got it today and it’s perfect, my new favorite moisturizer. I have combination dehydrated, extremely sensitive skin that is prone to allergic hives/swelling lately. This moisturizer doesn’t make me swell, and leaves my skin moisturized and glowy. I mix it with rose hip oil for increased hydration. Please keep this product around, it’s rare that I find a drugstore product that checks all my boxes!

Not for sensitive skin
My skin is all of a sudden very dry and I’ve been looking for something more hydrating. This says it’s for “dry, dehydrated skin” which is exactly what I have. Washed my face this morning with a face wash I’ve been using for a month no problem. Then applied this cream. My face immediately reacted and turned red. I only have slightly sensitive skin, I don’t tend to react to most things. This cream might have been “tested” for sensitive skin but no one approved it. The fragrance is strong as well, & I bet that’s what I’m reacting to. You can see the actual line where I applied the moisturizer. If you have sensitive skin stay far away from this!!

Heavily scented and very irritating
I am surprised by how heavily scented this product is! Usually cetaphil is known for being good for sensitive dry skin, but this product is not up to your usual standards at all! It is extremely irritating, and the scent lingers for hours. I did 2 spot tests of this product two days before using this product with no reaction (on my inner arm), but when I finally applied it to my face I had an instant reaction, with a lot of itching and burning. Hours after applying it my skin felt itchy and the scent gave me a headache. What a huge disappoinment! Especially when people are turning towards unscented products more and more these days.
